Hailing from a family immersed in Gurmat Sangeet, Dr. Manpreet Singh is a 3rd generation Kirtaniya, pursuing the tradition started by his Paternal grandfather, Late Shiromani Ragi Bhai Uttam Singh Patang and continuing under the guidance of his Chachaji/Paternal Uncle, Dr. Gurnam Singh Ji, whom he has been training under for the past 25 years. Dr. Manpreet Singh was awarded a Gold Medal during his Music studies at Punjabi University Patiala, where he completed his Doctorate degree in Gurmat Sangeet Studies. An award-winning vocalist, he was also a Gold Medalist in the Light Vocal category at the National Youth Festival organized by the Association of Indian Universities. An approved artist from ICCR (Indian Council of Cultural Relations), he has performed at various events throughout India and the world including Frankfurt University in Germany, Hofstra University in New York and the White House in Washington, DC. Currently, he lives in the USA and has been teaching Gurmat Sangeet to students all over the world for the past 12 years. In order to celebrate, elevate and hone his student's skills, he augments their studies by organizing youth performance festivals. Gurmat Sangeet being an integral part of his life and discipline, Dr. Manpreet Singh aspires to share this rich treasure of Sikh Musicology with everyone.
Ustad Raghbir Singh

Ustad Raghbir Singh is one of the finest contemporary performers of tabla from Punjab Gharana. He received his initial training from Master Darshan Singh Ji from Batala Punjab snd then later he was fortunate to learn from Ustad Kale Ram Ji, a great exponent of tabla from the Punjab Gharana. He has also undergone formal education and received a Masters of Music from Punjab University Chandigarh. He has the distinction of having provided tabla accompaniment to some of the legendry vocalists in the world including Late Shiromani Ragi Bhai Balbir Singh, Dr. Gurnam Singh, Ustad Ghulam Ali and Late Ustad Parvez Mehndi. Currently, he resides in the USA and actively spreading his love through his tabla to his students.
Guneet Kaur

Guneet Kaur has been part of the Gurmat Sangeet tradition since the age of 7. Her inspiration for Gurmat Sangeet started with her family and continued with her teachers. She received her Masters in Indian Classical music from Allahabad University and was a frequent guest of All India Radio as an Indian classical performer. Among other great teachers, she was blessed to further her passion under the guidance of Pandit Rajinder Singh Ji and Ustad Baljeet Singh Ji Namdhari from New Delhi. She achieved awards in College for Gurmat Sangeet, from Dr. Manmohan Singh (former Prime Minister of India).
She has dedicated her life to Gurmat Sangeet, not only as a dedicated student but also as a dedicated teacher.
With Gurus Blessings, now she is furthering her Passion for Gurmat Sangeet under the Guidance of Dr. Gurnam Singh Ji from Patiala University. For her, kirtan is a way of life, it is what brings peace to mind, body and soul, and is what brings the true essence of Life.
Dr. Gagandeep Singh

Dr. Gagandeep Singh started his Gurmat Sangeet Journey after his high school years. Because of his passion and interest in Gurbani and Kirtan, he did his graduation with music from Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar. During graduation, he was inspired by Dr. Gurnam Singh Ji’s dedication towards Gurmat Sangeet. He completed his Ph.D. in Gurmat Sangeet under the guidance of Dr. Gurnam Singh Ji.
Dr. Gagandeep Singh has taught Gurmat Sangeet in various institutions like SGPC, Chief Khalsa Dewan, Amritsar, Gurmat College, Mastuana Sahib and Khalsa College Amritsar. Since 2014, he has been teaching Gurmat Sangeet in Los Angeles and many parts of the USA. He even has had the privilege to perform with Dr. Gurnam Singh Ji at Sri Darbar Sahib, and many Kirtan Darbars in India and the USA. Dr. Gagandeep Singh Ji wishes to preserve and spread the essence of Gurmat Sangeet.
Dr. Ravinder Singh

Dr. Ravinder Singh started his career in Sikh Musicology at a very young age. His father, S. Jang Singh, is a Vaar poet, therefore with his father's influence, Dr. Ravinder Singh started his journey singing vaars. He learned to play musical instruments, used to sing vaars, Dhad and Sarangi, from scholarly musicians, S. Samsher Singh Ji, S. Mann Singh Akali, and S. Naranjan Singh Ji. Dr. Ravinder Singh met with Dr. Gurnam Singh Ji in 2004, and completed his graduation (2004), postgraduate (2006) and Ph.D. (2015) in Gurmat Sangeet, from Punjabi University, in Patiala, Punjab, under the guidance of Dr. Gurnam Singh. During the course of his education, Dr. Ravinder Singh learned to play Gurmat Sangeet instruments: Dilruba, Saranda, Taus, Israj, and Harmonium. After completing his Masters's degree, in 2006, Dr Ravinder Singh was appointed as Hazuri Ragi, Dilruba Wadak of Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar. In 2015, he became the first Doctorate Keertaniya of Sri Darbar Sahib ( Golden Temple).
Dr. Ravinder Singh is a gold medalist in Shabad Gayan, a friendly individual, and a great teacher.
Rajvinder Singh

Rajvinder Singh is a performer and teach who belongs to Punjab Gharan of Tabla. He started learning tabla from his family at an early age and he started performing tabla on stages at a very young age of 9 years. Later, at the age of 20, he began studying tabla from the great tabla artist/performer, Sh. Jaidev Ji and his father Pt. Kale Ram Ji. Currently, he's studying at the Ali Akbar Khan College of Music from Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri Ji. Rajvinder currently resides in California, where he teaches and performs Tabla.
He has won Punjabi University - Youth Festival's Gold Medal in tabla and he's also a winner of Gurmat Sangeet Competition - Tabla. Apart from his input archival recordings, he has also played/performed on various TV channels, Radio and various Music/GurmatSangeet conferences around the world.
Jaswinder Singh

Since 1995 an IT professional, Jaswinder Singh Rathour has a great passion for music. Son of Captain Amrik Singh, Jaswinder Singh is an accomplished musician who has completed a master’s degree in Music from Punjabi University, Patiala. He learned music from his Father and Sikh musicologist Dr. Gurnam Singh Ji. He has served the Indian community by performances in the Indian army with his Father. He has been promoting the Indian/Punjabi culture in the USA by performing at Various Indian festivals. He had the opportunity for the past three years to perform for the Indian ambassador of the USA at the Vaisakhi festival.
Gurpreet Singh

Gurpreet Singh started his Music Journey after his high school years because of his passion and interest in Music. He graduated with music vocal and instrumental from Punjabi University Patiala and post-graduated with Indian Classical Instrumental from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He is blessed to be a disciple of world-renowned Gurbani sangeetcharya and scholar Dr: Gurnam Singh Ji and instrumental teacher Professional: Amandeep Singh. Gurpreet Singh has taught Gurmat sangeet in various institutions like Fateh academy Amritsar, Guru Angad Dev Academy of Amritsar, etc. Since 2014, he has been teaching Gurmat Gurbani kirtan with Instruments (Tanti Saaj) in Los Angles, and many parts of the United States. He has received gold medals as an Indian Classical Vocalist and Instrumental player in 2007 and silver medals for semi-classical (Thumri Gayan) in 2009. For the past 14 years, he has been performing Gurmat sangeet in various Gurbani concerts and Raag darbar festivals. He has had the privilege to perform with Dr. Gurnam Singh Ji in India and around the world.
Leena S. Kaur

While working as an Engineering Director in Hi-Tech companies in Silicon Valley, Leena S Kaur’s immense love and devotion for Gurbani has driven her throughout her life. From hosting Gurbani Radio Programs for the past ten years to teaching Sahej Paath, Gurmat Sangeet, and Sikh Heritage Symphony to local youth, she enjoys inspiring others through the depth and light of Gurbani’s teachings. She is completing a Master’s Program in Gurmat Sangeet from Punjabi University and writes Punjabi Sufi lyrics that have been released as her music videos in the Punjabi Music Industry. Leena learnt Rabab from renowned Ustad Homayoun Sakhi, vocals from Dr. Sisirkana Dhar Chowdhury, and built her background in Shabad Keertan from a variety of talented teachers throughout the Bay Area. She seeks everyone’s blessings on her path, in her endeavors to keep learning and sharing the richness of spiritual and musical heritage with everyone.
Dr. Gurleen Kaur

Dr. Gurleen Kaur is a Canadian American ethnomusicologist who specializes in research and study of Gurmat Sangeet from both theoretical and practical perspectives. As an ethnographer, musician and practitioner, and initiated Sikh, she researches Sikh music as a lived experience and as a means of inspiring others to reach higher levels of consciousness. She holds a doctorate in ethnomusicology from the University of Maryland along with twenty-five years of research and study in Indian classical music and Sanskrit studies from Varanasi, India. A disciple of the late Shrimati Mangala Tiwari and Dr. Gurnam Singh, she teaches Sikh devotional music as both a musical and spiritual discipline instilling in the students the need for deep study of the Shabad (The Word) as an interpersonal method of self-discovery. Deeply invested in educating all levels of learners about Sikh Sacred Music, she has taught both adult and child learners Gurmat Sangeet for over 20 years along with regularly presenting papers at numerous academic conferences internationally on topics related to both the theoretical and practical aspects of Gurmat Sangeet. She has been to Bhaini Sahib numerous times and received blessings from Satguru Jagjit Singh for her research into both Gurmat Sangeet and Halē dā divān. Proficient in both Western classical music (on piano) and Indian classical music (vocal), she provides a superior and vast combination of skills to her instruction.
